“ My partner and I stopped by Elicious before having to catch a flight. Upon arrival, we noticed the parking lot was pretty much completely full. It was a Wednesday morning so I was surprised and a little nervous that it might take a while to order and receive our food before having to head to the airport. Nonetheless we committed to our decision to eat there and I am SO HAPPY we did! When we walked into the restaurant, we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome and assisted to order. We asked what would be the best option for a time limited visit, dine in or take out. The hostess Ms. Mary expressed that a take out order might be best so we obliged. Once the food was ordered we waited in the waiting space and lobby. One of my immediate reactions to the space was that it felt like home, the music playing was great, the ambience was chill and friendly, and it was very clean. After waiting not long maybe less than 20 minutes we received our food. I was pleasantly surprised because it was almost a full restaurant of customers. My partner and I asked if we could sit at the bar to enjoy our food there and Ms. Mary made it happen! YASS shoutout to her! Our waitress at the bar was great too, thanks Alexis!!! Super friendly and helpful. ....And now for the main event.....I had the BEST SHRIMP N' GRITS EVER!! The consistency of the girts where thick and creamy, the flavor was perfectly cheesy, and the shrimp seasoned super well (no salt and pepper needed). 10 out of 10 experience, highly recommend, will be back again ”

“ I was with a group of 9 and we had the best time! There's a young man who hosts that will give you a personal uplifting message. He was awesome! He kept us updated on the wait for our table. Once seated, our waitress was great. The food came out looking just like the pictures and tasted very good. As we were about to leave the owner stopped by our table to thank us for coming. Couple notes, it was packed and it's not a big place so plan accordingly. Parking can also be challenging. ”

From the moment I accidentally went in the side door and staff smiled and pointed to the back, to leaving with the warmest farewell from Mr. Sly - my time at Elicious was so memorable....I'm even thinking about going back today! I met a friend for breakfast and was so pleased with the warm interior and welcoming staff. The menu is full of breakfast favorites and some new twists. Our wonderful server, Shy, gave us an introduction to the offerings and had such an infectious smile. She took our orders and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. I had the salmon croquettes breakfast with eggs and grits. The croquettes were just like my grandmother used to make, down to the seasoning. Crispy on the outside, full of juicy salmon, onion, and peppers on the inside...so fire! The grits were perfectly creamy and savory. Everything I tasted was superb! My friend had the catfish, I didn't try because I'm allergic, but it looked so flaky and tender, & they were singing it's praises. As we were leaving, a band was setting up for music. I've gotta come back and see who's playing next. Don't take my word for it....go try Elicious! ”

“ So I got the pleasure to enjoy this amazing brunch spot for my birthday brunch. The atmosphere was so nice, old school records playing, decor was giving Motown all the way and I was loving it. It's a black owned restaurant and they only serve brunch. We went on a weekday so it was not crowded at all and there was no wait time. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside on their patio. We enjoyed mimosas and the food was absolutely amazing!!! I decided to get the chicken and waffles and omg the chicken was fried to perfection! The breading, the seasoning, so delicious. The waffle was cooked great as well. My boyfriend enjoyed the French toast and all the sides were cooked so good. The best grits I've ever had! The food was definitely cooked with love. We even got to meet one of the owners who was making his rounds making sure everything and everyone was happy. I definitely recommend this brunch spot for anyone who wants to indulge in some amazing food with good vibes. Definitely a go to brunch spot in St.Louis. ”

“ Outstanding! Everything was delicious and served Hot and Fresh. The Catfish was fried to a crispy and golden outside but still tender inside. I wish I had ordered an extra piece even though it was a really nice sized portion! Chickens wings were seasoned and crispy on the outside also. Waffle was standard but delicious none the less. Shrimp and Grits were equally delicious. Grits and shrimp were cooked well and seasoned perfectly. We dined on a Holiday and they were packed! I expected it to be crowded but they were overload. They advised at check in on the long wait and we were seating pretty much at the time advised. Service was still attentive and steady. All dishes served are brought out covered until placed and then the cover is removed. Glasses were kept full and loved the Jazz music playing. Will be back soon! ”
